Points System Announced!

New game… new points system! 🥳

Although there are some similarities with Fantasy Henley and Fantasy Worlds.

At the heart of the points system is a familiar rule, the first crew to a timing point picks up the most points.

This allows mischievious crews to steal points by going big early, improving their own score and denying the eventual winner a clean sweep of points.

However, because head races have more crews than side by side regattas, we’re going to award more points!

The Head of the Charles course has four timing points for us to play with:

For the three intermediate times (Riverside, Weld & CBC) the points will be awarded as follows:

1st Place - 8 points

2nd Place - 7 points

3rd Place - 6 points

4th Place - 5 points

5th Place - 4 points

6th Place - 3 points

7th Place - 2 points

8th Place - 1 point

However for the Finish line, we’ll be adopting the Formula 1 points system:

1st Place - 25 points 🏆

2nd Place - 18 points

3rd Place - 15 points

4th Place - 12 points

5th Place - 10 points

6th Place - 8 points

7th Place - 6 points

8th Place - 4 points

9th Place - 2 points

10th Place - 1 point

And as always - a bonus point for any crews that dominate at all markers.

This means, a theoretical maximum of 50 points…
